Agenda for Change

A quick stab at an Agenda for Change. Please feel free to add and advantages or disadvantages.
Regards
Paul

Agenda could be:

Benefits:
1) Triple Canary Wharf office space to absorb an expanding 'white collar' workforce.
2) The white collar workforce will benefit from increased interlinked green/blue space.
3) Shops, bars and restaurants will create a busier, more vibrant and safer environment over the larger area.
4) Traffic congestion will be reduced with restricted vehicle access.
5) Integrated flats and housing will create an area of pride and ownership reducing crime levels.
6) Greater service opportunities for the less educated workforce.

Disadvantaged:
1) Tower Hamlets residents in social housing will be displaced.
2) Less opportunity for self start business.
3) Existing sole traders may be displaced.

Deliverables for Wed 19th October 2011

Actions for Wed 19th Oct:

1) Deepthi to generate PowerPoint slides.
2) All team members to generate individual design schemes for 10 to 50 years and possibly 300 years. These will be discussed over email or pre-meeting on Wednesday morning prior to Crit.
3) Interim presentation for crit to be finalised Wednesday morning by the whole team.

Task list of Wednesday 12th October

Work for next week Wednesday 12th October:

Following the meeting on Wed 5th October the tasks are:
 ·     List some 'Group Names' we could call ourselves.
 ·     Each to produce an 'I Saw It' caption picture... post on the blog.
 ·   The Cost Plan will probably be easier to produce following next week's work.
 ·   Each to suggest a 'Slogan/Concept/headline/sound bite' statement for the design solution; such as 'Butterflies over London'. It needs to encapsulate the very essence of what we are trying to do.
If we make good progress then:
 ·   We need to start the 'Storyboard'. The storyboard will be a word doc with 20 points to explain the project+ a rationale+ what's there now and what will it be.

London Walkabout

A quick plan for tomorrow, Monday 3rd October:
  1. Canary Wharf at 12.00
  2. Following map, walk north to Bromley-by-Bow underground stn. We could go further to the south extent of the Lee Valley, if everyone is happy, or we could look at the extended route on Google Map.
  3. Catch underground at Bromley-by-Bow back to central London about 15.00 ish.
See you tomorrow
Paul

First contact

Hi Everyone

This is our Blog/Diary required as part of the Urban Development Brief. It is also a great place to share images, ideas, comments, reviews, and anything else you can think of. It's not a great place for posting documents such as specifications and big drawings which we can transfer with email, DropBox etc.

We need to post meeting dates, attendance, issues, conflict resolutions, pretty much anything that would go into a project diary.

Regards
Paul

Oh... don't forget this is a public space, anybody can link to it, read it and comment on it, so be professional..
